This is a private group for those associated with the “Hope for Israel” Congregation in Charlotte, NC

This brief itinerary will explain where we plan to go, but the trip is SO much more than just a list of sites. We will worship, reflect, dance and pray in places. We will be meeting local believers and sharing time together. This is designed to be more than tourism, it is a spiritual journey! This is a journey led by Messianic followers of Yeshua, who want to see the land and people of God.

Day One: Wednesday, May 22, 2024. Departure Day

Depart Charlotte, NC (CLT) for the group flight to Israel. Meals and overnight: In flight.

Day Two: Thursday, May 23, 2024. Arrive in Israel!

Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv, Israel. We will transfer to our hotel located on the coastal plain of Israel for our group dinner and a good night’s rest! Dinner and overnight (1 of 1): Coastal Plain of Israel. D

Day Three: Friday, May 24, 2024. Coastal Plain and Western Lower Galilee

Traveling north from the bustling greater Tel Aviv area, we will visit the excavations of Caesarea Maritima, before ascending Mt. Carmel to view the area where Elijah stood before the prophets of Baal. On to view the Valley of Armageddon and an opportunity to visit the city of Nazareth, where Yeshua grew up and spent His early life.  Next we travel to the Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) to our hotel near the sea. Overnight: Hotel near Sea of Galilee (1 of 3). Day Four: Saturday, May 25, 2024. Around the Sea of Galilee (Kinneret)

Today, we begin viewing the landscape near the sea from the precipice of Mt. Arbel. We will descend the mountain to the foothills and see the exciting new excavations of ancient Magdala, the city of Mary Magdelene of the Gospels. Then on to the Mt. of Beatitudes, to recall the teachings of Yeshua to the crowds. After lunch, we will visit Capernaum, see an ancient boat exhibit in a nearby museum, and take a boat ride on the sea to end our day. Overnight: Near the Sea of Galilee (2 of 3). B, D

Day Five: Sunday, May 26, 2024. The Golan Heights

With an early morning departure northward to the border, we will visit Tel Dan, with its city walls from the period of the Divided Kingdom of Israel, and the gate from the time of the Patriarchs and Matriarchs. On to Banias, called Caesarea Philippi in the Gospel accounts, and later an overlook into Syria. We want to take time to visit the local markets: perhaps the Golan Winery or Olea Essence, and then visit the Talmudic Period village at Qatzrin. Overnight: Near the Sea of Galilee (3 of 3). B, D

Day Six: Monday, May 27, 2024. The Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea

Today we will travel the Jordan Valley, stopping for an optional lunch and perhaps some camel rides (if you dare!), before we visit Ein Gedi, and spend some leisure time at the Dead Sea. Overnight: Spa hotel at the Dead Sea. (1 of 1). B, D

Day Seven: Tuesday, May 28, 2024. Masada and “Up to Jerusalem!”

Waking up to a sunrise over Moab and Edom at our Dead Sea hotel, we will visit the stirring site of Masada, and later look at Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Contuing “up to Jerusalem” we will stand on Mt. Scopus, the northern spur of the Mt. of Olives ridge, for an introductory overview of the exciting city of the King. Overnight:  Jerusalem (1 of 5). B

Day Eight: Wednesday, May 29, 2024. The Jewish Quarter and City of David in Jerusalem

Today’s visit includes some highlight sites of the Jewish Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem, including Zion Gate, the ancient Cardo, the so-called “Broad Wall,” and the excavations at the Burnt House. We will also be invited to see the ancient Temple steps at the South Wall, and even see the new excavations that are uncovering the City of King David! Overnight: Jerusalem (2 of 5). B

Day Nine: Thursday, May 30, 2024. Old City Sites in Jerusalem

More time for the Old City today, as we enter the Jaffa Gate; see the Anglican area of Christ Church; perhaps do some shopping in the Old City shuk, and even stand at the prayer wall in the Western Wall plaza. Next to the wall, we will access the Western Wall tunnel for an up-close look at the remains of the retaining area of the ancient Temple. Finally, we will have some time at the Holy Sepulchre, to recall the last hours of Yeshua’s life. We hope also to have some free time to explore the inside of the Old City in the Christian Quarter. Day Ten: Friday, May 31, 2024. Israel: A Living People!

The children of Israel live today! We will visit an emotionally stirring site at the Gush Etzion Memorial, and recall how the people resettled the land from Europe in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. We will travel back to Jerusalem to walk the streets of Mahane Yehuda, the exciting and colorful marketplace in west Jerusalem. With some free time in the Jewish shuk, we will regather and walk to a favorite restaurant for an early dinner. Tonight, you may choose to join us as we walk to the Wall for Erev Shabbat. Day Eleven: Saturday, June 1, 2024 Mount of Olives and Garden Tomb

Our last day in Jerusalem will offer us yet another wonderful view of the city from the Mt of Olives; along with the opportunity to visit the area of Dominus Flevit and walk down to a garden in the Kidron Valley near Gethsemane, set in the midst of some of Jerusalem’s most ancient olive trees. With time for for worship and reflection, we will also visit the Garden Tomb and recall Yeshua’s words to the women who discovered the empty tomb. Overnight: Jerusalem (5 of 5). B

Day Twelve: Sunday, June 2, 2024 Return to the USA

Today we say goodbye to Israel, and take our return flight from Tel Aviv to USA, arriving later the same day in Charlotte, NC.

Every effort will be made to complete the full itinerary. Yet, because conditions are often

unpredictable in travel, we reserve the right to make changes during the tour.

Program Conditions

TOUR PRICE of $5199 INCLUDES air from Charlotte (CLT), group transfers, hotels, Israeli buffet breakfast daily and five dinners, all tips for group services, full sightseeing, the services of an English-speaking local guide, and all entrance fees to sites as listed in the program. All taxes and surcharges in effect as of June 1, 2023 are included. If additional surcharges or taxes are imposed by the airlines or governments, any additional amounts will be the responsibility of the passenger. This price is based on a minimum of 20 passengers.

LAND ONLY PRICE is $3899 and INCLUDES all of the above except air and transfers.

NOT INCLUDED are any expenses required for COVID compliance, personal items such as laundry; drinks or coffee with dinners; lunches, tips for personal favors; excess baggage and forwarding of baggage; transfers other than with the group; optional travel insurance 

YOUR ACCOMMODATIONS are based on First Class (4*) hotels using double occupancy in a twin bedded room with private bath. There is a supplemental charge of $1300 if you prefer a single room. Individuals enrolling without a roommate may request to be matched with a roommate. In the event that a roommate is not available, individuals will be required to pay the single supplement charge. All single rooms are subject to availability and may be smaller than normal twin rooms.

PAYMENT: A nonrefundable deposit of $400 per person, is required to secure your place on the program. A second payment of $2400 per person is due six (6) months prior to departure. Deposits received within six (6) months of departure require a total initial payment of $2800. Final payment is due to CTSP three (3) months prior to departure. Thereafter, a late payment fee of $100 per person per month will be assessed.

CANCELLATION FEES:

90+ days prior ….. non-refundable deposit

66-90 days prior ….. 50% plus non-refundable deposit

0-65 days prior ….. No refund

*If your cancellation results in a roommate needing a single supplement, that amount will be charged to you in addition to the above fees.

*All refund claims must be in writing to CTSP. There is no refund for any services not used.

 

TRIP INSURANCE IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. Insurance purchased within two weeks of deposit provides the best value, and may cover pre-existing conditions. 

ITINERARY LENGTH: Flight times are subject to change without advance notice. CTSP is not responsible for changes and delays in airline schedules and does not reimburse passengers for expenses resulting from delays. Because airlines often change flight times and dates at the last minute, CTSP strongly recommends that if passengers are purchasing any connecting tickets they should be able to be changed without heavy fees or penalties. If airline(s) change flight schedules, CTSP reserves the right to lengthen or shorten the itinerary accordingly, and whenever possible, you will be notified in writing. If changes necessitate extra overnights, you will be charged (per person, per night) US$180 double occupancy, or US$320 for single rooms (includes single supplement).

AIRLINE ARRANGEMENTS from Charlotte (CLT) are included in the Full Tour price. Air Transportation will be economy class aboard regularly scheduled carriers utilizing non-refundable, non-transferable, non-amendable tickets. Once your ticket has been written, it cannot be transferred, rewritten, or refunded. 

YOUR LUGGAGE is restricted in size and shape by the airline, and is limited to one checked piece (max 50#), one carryon, plus a smaller personal piece. You should check with the airline for the specific restrictions.

Statement of Responsibility

CTSP agrees to provide the itinerary described for this trip, and it represents the entire agreement between the passenger and CTSP. No changes or deviations are effective unless approved in writing and signed by an authorized officer of CTSP. Except as stated herein, no person is authorized to cancel, modify, or vary the study program arrangements (during the course) or to make any representation of warranty concerning the program.

All prices, itineraries, and schedules are subject to regulations and changes thereof by acts of Government, International Agreement and Airline tariff adjustments, rules and regulations.

CTSP reserves the right to change or withdraw the program, in whole or in part, at any time. In the event of a change, the sole exclusive obligation of CTSP will be to refund pro rata any recoverable payment received, based on recovered funds. In the event of rescheduling of the program due to unforeseen circumstances, the cancellation and refund clause will apply. CTSP reserves the right to refuse or to revoke travel to anyone who is, in the sole judgment of CTSP, incapable of or detrimental to group travel.

Except for the willful negligence of its direct employees, CTSP assumes no liability or responsibility for any injuries, inconveniences, illness, irregularity or incidental damages occasioned by circumstances beyond the control of CTSP, or by any person or reason whatsoever, including, but not limited to events such as strikes, revolts, wars, natural disaster, closures of airports or hotels, default or omission of any common or private carrier or the default, negligence, or omission of any by any third party providing services or facilities related to or included in this program. 

The commercial carriers are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time the passengers are not on board commercial carriers. The passenger contracts, in use by all commercial carriers involved, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the commercial carriers and the passenger or purchaser of this program and/or passage and program operator assumes no liability or responsibility in connection therewith.

ENROLLMENT in and payment of the deposit for the tour constitutes your acceptance of the Program Conditions and Statement of Responsibility.
