COVID-related Expenses: Any required testing or compliance costs.
Excess or Forwarded Baggage: Airline fees for overweight or additional luggage.
Private Transfers: Any transfers not operating with the main group.
Single Room Supplement: ~$1,150 per person (required if a roommate cannot be assigned). The exact price for the supplement will be available in the Tour Conditions when it becomes available.
Passport Fees & Visas: Costs associated with obtaining or renewing your travel documents.
Additional Taxes or Airline Surcharges: If imposed after June 1, 2025.
Extra Nights: Any overnights caused by airline schedule changes ($180 pp double / ~$320 single per night). The exact price for extra nights will be available in Tour Conditions when available.
Cancellations: Non-refundable deposits and applicable cancellation fees as listed in the Tour Conditions.
Itinerary:
Day One: Friday, October 29, 2027. Departure Day
Depart Chicago (ORD) or Indianapolis (IND). Overnight: in flight.
Day Two: Saturday, October 30, 2027. Arrival Day
Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport. Mini-bus transfer to hotel. Dinner. Overnight: Kfar HaMaccabiah or Grand Beach or comp.
Day Three: Sunday, October 31, 2027. Four Conflicts in the Background of the Gospels.
Caesarea Maritima, Mt. Carmel, Megiddo, Valley of Armageddon, Zippori, Nazareth (cave homes). Overnight: Ron Beach or comp. B,D (1 of 3).
Day Four: Monday, November 1, 2027. The Teaching of Jesus.
Mt Arbel, Magdala, Mt. of Beatitudes, Capernaum, Ancient Boat, boat ride. Overnight: Hotel at Sea of Galilee B,D (2 of 3).
Day Five: Tuesday, November 2, 2027. The Disciple-making of Jesus.
Hazor, Tel Dan, Banias, Har Bental (Syria overlook), Talmudic Village at Qatzrin. Overnight: Hotel at Sea of Galilee B,D (3 of 3).
Day Six: Wednesday, November 3, 2027. Traveling Through Samaria.
Bet Shean, then central ridge route (Hwy 60) sites going southwest then south Samaria/Sebaste, Shechem/Nablus, view of Mt Ebal & Mt Gerizim, Shiloh, Bethel; end the day in Jericho. Overnight: Syraan Hotel, Jericho B,D (1 of 1)
Day Seven: Thursday, November 4, 2027. The Dead Sea Region.
After a visit in Jericho, travel to Dead Sea area sites including Qumran, En Gedi and Masada before we float in the Dead Sea. Overnight: Leonardo Negev Hotel or comp. B,D (1 of 1)
Day Eight: Friday, November 5, 2027. Northern Negev & Shephelah
Tel Arad, Tel Sheva, Ein Avdat with wadi hike, Lachish, and (time permitting) Mareshah, Bet Guvrin, Bell Caves. Overnight: Grand Court (preferred for location) or comp. Jerusalem B,D (5 nts)
Day Nine: Saturday, November 6, 2027. Mt. of Olives and Bethlehem
Mt of Olives, Gethsemane, Bethlehem, Herodion, Shepherd’s Field, shop at Joseph Kassis Place in Beit Sahour. Overnight: Jerusalem B,D
Day Ten: Sunday, November 7, 2027. City of David
Transfer to Emek Tsurim “sifting project” in the morning on Mt Scopus (if 2 hr. shift is available), then transfer to the City of David, Hezekiah’s Tunnel, Pool of Siloam, Pilgrim’s Way (People walk home.) Overnight: Jerusalem B,D
Day Eleven: Monday, November 8, 2027. Old City Jerusalem Walking Tour
Today we will be on foot for visits to the Burnt House, sites in the Jewish Quarter (Cardo, Broad Wall), Mount Zion sites like the Upper Room and St. Peter en Gallicantu, as well as the Western Wall, and the Southern Steps. Overnight: Jerusalem B,D
Day Twelve: Tuesday, November 9, 2027. Suffering, Death and Resurrection of Jesus.
Early departure for a visit to the ancient Temple Mt, Pools of Bethesda, Via Dolorosa, Holy Sepulchre, Garden Tomb. Supper at the hotel. Shower, finish packing and dress for flight that night.
Day 13: Saturday, November 13, 2027. Early morning departure to the USA.
The flight departs and arrives back in the USA.
