DAY 1 – THURSDAY, MAY 6, 2021: DEPART FOR TEL AVIV
In order to be on time for the beginning of the program, your airline tickets must be written for departure from the USA no later than this date. Remember: You fly overnight and arrive the next calendar day. Overnight: In flight.
DAY 2 – FRIDAY, MAY 7, 2021: ARRIVE IN ISRAEL
When you arrive at the Ben Gurion Airport, you will need to arrange a taxi to Ashdod, Israel. Our program officially begins at 6:30 PM dinner in the hotel. After dinner, get a good night’s rest to prepare for the day ahead! Overnight: Leonardo Ashdod (1 of 3).

DAY 3 – SATURDAY, MAY 8, 2021: ISRAEL MUSEUM (JERUSALEM), JAFFA, ASHKELON, ASHDOD.
Theme: The Prophets and God’s Compassion: “Six Themes from the Hebrew Prophets.” Wake up at 7 AM. After a good breakfast, be prepared to depart at 9 AM on our “moving classroom” bus for a full day of visits. Sites (with Bible texts) include: Israel Museum, Jaffa (Jonah), Ashkelon (Zephaniah), Ashdod (Joshua 15, 1 Samuel 5, Nehemiah 13). Overnight: Leonardo Ashdod (2 of 3).
DAY 4 – SUNDAY, MAY 9, 2021: BETH SHEMESH, AZEKAH, ELAH VALLEY, MARESHA, ELEUTHEROPOLIS, LACHISH.
Theme: God’s Rescuer: “Exploring the Comforts of Messiah and His Promised Kingdom.” After a good breakfast, we will journey south to the lowhills of the Shephelah. Sites (with Bible texts) include: Azekah, Elah Valley, Moreshah (Micah), Eleutheropolis, Lachish (Isaiah). Overnight: Leonardo Ashdod (3 of 3).
DAY 5 – MONDAY, MAY 10, 2021: SHILOH, GERIZIM/EBAL, SEBASTIYA
Theme: The Challenge: “The Prophets and the Breakaway Kingdom.” Our three-night stay is over in Ashdod, so we depart for the mountains of Samaria. Today we will see the terraces, olive groves and mountains of the “Northern Kingdom.” Sites include (with Bible texts) Shiloh (Genesis 49:10, Joshua 18, 1 Samuel 1-3, Jeremiah 7 and 26), stunning views of Mt. Gerizim (Dt. 28) and Ebal (Dt. 27), and the city of Samaria (Isaiah 7-10, Hosea, Ezekiel 16). Overnight: On the Sea of Galilee Ma’agan or similar (1).
DAY 6 – TUESDAY, MAY 11, 2021: SHIEK HUSSEIN BORDER CROSSING, PEREAN LANDSCAPE, BETHANY BEYOND THE JORDAN, DEAD SEA RESORT.
Theme: The Announcer: “Make straight a highway.” After breakfast, we have views of the Sea of Galilee as we make our way south to the border crossing at the Sheik Hussein Bridge into the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Today we will follow the path of Jesus and ancient pilgrims along the roadway of Perea beside Pella (Tabqet Fahel), with a stop for lunch and a visit to a likely site for “Bethany beyond the Jordan.” (Al-Maghtas) Here we will discuss the Prophet Malachi and his emphasis on The Messianic message and compare that to the work of John the Immerser. On to the Dead Sea resort, where we will check in to our hotel and have one more teaching time to discuss the message of Habakkuk: “The God who Judges Righteously.” An early arrival is planned for a time for relaxation, and we will enjoy the resort, have dinner and a good night’s rest. Overnight: Dead Sea resort, Jordan (1 of 2).
DAY 7 – WEDNESDAY, MAY 12, 2021: MT. NEBO, MADABA, AMMAN
Theme: The Promise: “A Prophet Like Moses.” After a hearty breakfast, we depart to view the overlook at Mt. Nebo. On to the Madaba map for a reminder of how we came to identify the geographical sites of the Holy Lands. We will take time for lunch and a brief visit to the capital of Jordan, overviewing the city and getting some helpful background on modern Jordan, her King and her people. Overnight: Dead Sea Resort, Jordan (2 of 2).
DAY 8 – THURSDAY, MAY 13, 2021: PETRA, WADI RUM
Theme: The Judgement: :Reasons Why Nations Fail!” Today we rise early to make a three-hour journey into the desert as we recall Obadiah and his call on “The Judge of Nations.” The fascinating “rose red” city of the Nabateans will place us in the heart of the Seir Mountains, Land of Edomites. After our visit to Petra, we drive south to Wadi Rum. Here we enjoy an amazing jeep ride and have a Bedouin dinner in the desert. We will also search for some CAMELS! DAY 9 – FRIDAY, MAY 14, 2021: WADI ARABAH BORDER CROSSING INTO ISRAEL, RED SEA, TIMNAH, MACHTESH RAMON, BEERSHEVA
Theme: The Sanctuary: “God’s Pattern for Worship.” After an early breakfast, we will depart the wondrous Wadi Rum and head to the Red Sea to cross back into Israel. Passing over the border to our Israeli bus, we will drive to the Red Sea and enjoy snorkelling (optional) in the crystal-clear water. Discussing the prophetic vision for the desert’s reclamation, we drive north through the Aravah (Rift Valley) to Timnah, the site of an ancient copper mine of the Egyptians. We will also walk through a full-size replica of the Old Testament Tabernacle. Continuing north, we drive then drive through the Machtesh Ramon, Israel’s “Grand Canyon.” Overnight: Yeruham Hotel.
DAY 10 – SATURDAY, MAY 15, 2021: AVDAT, WADI ZIN, JERUSALEM
Theme: The Prophetess: “Miriam and those who followed her.” We will begin today with two nearby Negev sites: Avdat and Wadi Zin along with a brief visit to the grave of David Ben Gurion, Israel’s first Prime Minister. We will discus the seven Hebrew Prophetesses with a special emphasis on Miriam who died in the Zin Wilderness (Numbers 20). Our optional walk in Wadi Zin will help us experience a “different kind” of desert and understand the approach of the Israelites from the south in the Book of Numbers. After our Negev visits we will make our way up to Jerusalem arriving as Sabbath is about to end. Overnight: Jerusalem, Israel (1 or 3).
DAY 11 – SUNDAY, MAY 16, 2021: JERUSALEM
Theme: Jerusalem: “The Cause, Collapse and Comfort for Zion.” Today we will walk down the Mount of Olives, with special attention to the so-called tombs of Haggai and Zechariah to discuss the message of these prophets. Accessing a garden spot on Olivet, we will take a more careful look at Joel and Jeremiah, as well as the promises of Daniel. Our walk will take us through the Kidron to the ancient tombs, and after lunch, we will take another walk in the Hinnom Valley discussing the five Lamentations of Jeremiah and the restoration prophecies of Zion. Overnight: Jerusalem, Israel (2 of 3).
DAY 12 – MONDAY, MAY 17, 2021: JERUSALEM: DAVID’S CITADEL, CITY OF DAVID, HEZEKIAH’S TUNNEL, SILOAM POOLS
Theme: Final Looks: “Overview of the Prophetic Scene.” In the morning, we will walk the excavations of the City of David, with options for a “wet” or “dry” set of ancient tunnels. Overnight: Jerusalem, Israel (3 of 3). Our wrap up for this prophet’s journey will take place at the Jerusalem Citadel Museum (looking toward the future glory of Jerusalem foretold by the prophets). The balance of the day will be free for shopping and packing! Overnight: Jerusalem, Israel (3 or 3).
DAY 13 – TUESDAY, MAY 18, 2021: DEPARTURE; ARRIVAL BACK IN THE U.S.A.
